Donald Lee Cherry, age 78, of Huntingburg, was found deceased at his residence on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, from natural causes.
He was born February 16, 1937 in Spencer County, Indiana, to Loran J. and Lucille E. (Klueh) Cherry. He was a retired salesman for Leland Lumber Company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Dennis Cherry.
He is survived by:
Two sons and two daughter-in-laws,
Mike (Chelle) Cherry of Huntingburg, Ind.,
Alan (Cathy) Cherry of Huntingburg, Ind.;
One sister,
Sylvia Schmitt of Jasper, Ind.;
One brother,
Paul Cherry of Ind.;
by (3) grandchildren and (2) great grandchildren.
A memorial funeral Mass for Donald Lee Cherry will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Friday, February 5, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Cremation will take place prior to the funeral services.
