Esther P. Fuhrman, age 80, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday (February 27, 2016) at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana.

Esther FuhrmanEsther was born in Shoals, Indiana on February 27, 1936 to Elmer and Ella (Hemmerlein) Wolf.  She married Delbert J. Fuhrman on October 4, 1956 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 2010.

Esther was a homemaker and member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and a past member of the Jasper Moose.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and her animals.

Elmer Wolf Jr., Dubois, IN

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sisters, Dorothy Lind and Gladys Wolf, and one stillborn brother, John Wolf.

Funeral services for Esther P. Fuhrman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (March 1, 2016) at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Tim Kraemer will officiate.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday (February 29, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.
