Raphael “Rafe” Fleck, age 66 of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 3:33 a.m. Saturday (June 18, 2016) at his home in Jasper.

Fleck, RafeRaphael was born in Washington, Indiana on September 9, 1949 to Harold and Venita (Schuler) Fleck.

He married  Linda Jacobs on September 11, 1971 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.

He was a graduate of Jasper High School Class of 1967.  US Navy veteran serving two terms in Vietnam  on the USS Theodore E. Chandler.

Rafe retired from the Jasper City Power Plant where he worked for over 40 years and served as superintendant for several years. He delivered appliances for Sears for over 20 years.

He was a member of PreciousBlood Catholic Church in Jasper  – LifeTime member of the V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper.

He enjoyed  his grandchildren, woodworking and his John Deere Tractors.

Funeral services for Raphael Fleck  will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, (June 22, 2016) in Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct Military Grave Side Rites.

Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, (June 21, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in  Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church, Lange Fuhs Cancer Center or to a favorite charity.
