Emogene C. Brames, 76 of Saint Henry died Wednesday August 24th at her home. She was born August 9, 1940 in Mariah Hill, Indiana to Hubert & Philomena (Daunhauer) Dilger. She married Harold A. Brames on July 7, 1962 in Mary Help Of Christians Church in Mariah Hill. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2015.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita Brames of McCordsville, and Jennifer Edwards (Thomas) of Mt. Joliet, TN. three sons, Steve Brames of St. Henry, Dave Brames of Bretzville, and Pat Brames (Nanette) of Verona, Ky. Four grandchildren, Madison & Paige Brames and Zachary & Nathan Edwards. Six brothers, Bill Dilger of Huntingburg, Dennis Dilger (Jane), Leon Dilger (Doris) and Larry Dilger (Janet) all of Mariah Hill, Jim Dilger (Darlene) of Ferdinand, and E.J. Dilger (Shirley) of Lake City, FL. two sisters, Marie and Sandy Dilger both of Mariah Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Brames, & two brothers, Alvin & Herbert Dilger.

Emogene was a member of Saint Henry Parish and its Christian Mothers. She was a lifetime member of the St. Henry Community Club. She retired from Holiday Foods, formerly in Huntingburg. She enjoyed being with family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday in Saint Henry Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8:00 PM Friday & 7 to 9:30 AM Saturday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Henry Church Cemetery Fund.
