George Alan Norris, age 54, of Holland, passed away at 10:22 p.m., on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

george-norris-obituary-photo760He was born July 14, 1962, in Huntingburg, Indiana to George L. and Ella Mae (Meyer) Norris. He married Barbara J. Mundy on November 7, 1987, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. George was a graduate of Southridge High School’s Class of 1980; a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; and employed as a waste water treatment operator at Farbest Foods. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Mae Norris, who passed away June 12, 2014; and by three nephews.

Todd (Emma) Norris of Terre Haute, Ind.;

Gina Norris of Holland, Ind.;
His father,
George L. Norris of Huntingburg, Ind.;
Three sisters and three brothers-in-law,
Phyllis (John) Harder of Alfordsville, Ind.,
Diane (Terry) Kapp of Branchville, Ind.,
Lisa (Randy) Fuhrman of Huntingburg, Ind.;
One brother and sister-in-law,
Kenneth (Karen) Norris of Holland, Ind.;
and one granddaughter,
Adelynn Norris.

Funeral services for George Alan Norris will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Monday, October 17, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 1:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday. A parish rosary prayer vigil will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
