JASPER DRUG ARREST
A Ferdinand man was placed under arrest on a pair of charges including drug possession after his involvement in a verbal dispute in Jasper Wednesday morning.

At 10 am yesterday officers with the Jasper Police Department were called to a home located along the 2300 block of Sunset Drive in Jasper on a report of a male and female arguing.

Police say when they arrived and after speaking with both parties, the male subject, 20-year old Joseph Vaughn of Ferdinand was asked to leave the property and not return.

Police say Vaughn initially walked away but later returned and began yelling at officers and residents.
Vaughn was again advised by authorities to cease his disorderly behavior but again refused and continued with his rant.

Police say that after after multiple chances and warnings given, Vaughn did not comply and subsequently was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

Now while in custody, a search of Vaughn found him to be in illegal possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.

Vaughn was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center for disorderly conduct and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance
