Georgina “Jeanie” Stetter, age 84, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Monday (November 28, 2016) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

georgina-jeanie-stetterJeanie was born in Jasper, Indiana, on February 4, 1932 to William P. and Theresa (Birk) Mehringer. She married Edgar Stetter on August 8, 1953 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2001.

Jeanie retired from 10th Street School in Jasper, IN.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper and their St. Ann’s Society.

She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.

Preceding her in death beside her husband were sisters; Lorena Englert, Armella Hochgesang, Anna Mae Hasenour, Jenny Bockting, and one brother; Thomas Mehringer who passed in infancy.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanie Stetter will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (December 2, 2016) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper, IN.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday (December 1, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Joseph St. Ann’s Society will pray the rosary at 3:45 p.m.
