Sandra Sue Lents, 73, of Huntingburg, passed away at 8:56 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born August 16, 1943, in Loogootee, Indiana to John Lewis and Pauline (Birch) Lents. Sandra formerly worked at Druther’s Restaurant; was an animal lover, especially of cats; enjoyed going out with family and friends; and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Haley. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Lewis Lents.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason (Amy) Lents of Huntingburg; sister, Edna May (Donald) Hembree of Loogootee; brother, Paul Lents of Jasper; and granddaughter, Haley Lents.

Funeral services for Sandra Sue Lents will be held at 7:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with Reverend Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Loogootee at 10:00 a.m., Thursday morning, with Reverend Fr. Kenneth Walker officiating at the committal service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dubois County Humane Society. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
