James “Shooter” Schuetter, age 64 of Jasper, IN, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Timbers of Jasper.

James was born in Huntingburg, IN on March 19, 1953 to James J. and Mary M. (Angel) Schuetter.

He was a truck driver for many years. He also had worked in construction and for Jasper Rubber Products.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #115 in Winslow, IN.

He enjoyed music, watching and playing basketball, being outside, playing cards, playing pool, drinking spirits, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are two daughters, Alex Schuetter, Evansville, IN, and Anna Schuetter Jasper, IN, one grandchild, one sister, Michelle Schuetter, and three brothers, Bob Schuetter (Patti), Ferdinand, Tom Schuetter, Jasper, and Dave Schuetter (Kathy), Huntingburg, IN, and nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his step-father, James Carter, two sisters, Marla Kreilein and Phyliss Schuetter, one brother, Larry “Butch” Schuetter.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
