Shirley S. Nicholson, age 80 of Jasper, IN, passed away at 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Timbers in Jasper.

Shirley was born in Pike County, Indiana on February 24, 1937 to Raymond and Pearl (Pride) Padgett. She married Milton Nicholson on October 22, 1960 by the Justice of the Peace. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2008.

After working many years, she retired from Masterbrand.

She enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon, NASCAR racing, the Price is Right and working on word search puzzle books.

Surviving is one daughter Vicki Malvitz and husband Walter, Jasper. One son Kevin Nicholson and companion Marsha, Jasper. Two sisters; Vera Leighty, Karen Bennett and husband Curly. Five brothers; Robert Pride and wife Shirley, Gary Pride and wife Sue, Steven Pride and wife Mary Ann, Ferrell Pride, Bill Pride and his wife Laura. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, was one son Mark Nicholson.

A burial for Shirley Nicholson will be held at a later date.
