Charles “Charlie” Mendel, Jr., “JR”, age 58, of Dubois, Indiana passed away at 4:28 p.m., on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born April 25, 1959, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Charles Edward and Maxine Fay (Brown) Mendel. Charlie is survived by two sons, Brent (Devon) Mendel and Chris Mendel both of Huntingburg; three sisters, Brenda “Susie” Mendel and Marsha Buschkoetter both of Huntingburg, Judy Laswell of Crawford County; one stepbrother, Scott Brown of Holland; four stepchildren, Melisa Garcia, Lupe Garcia and Maurice Zapata all of Huntingburg, Diana Garcia of Texas; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call for viewing and visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Friday, May 26, 2017.
Disposition will take place following the visitation.
