For some children this summer a meal may be a hard thing to come by and the Tri-State Food bank and the Jasper Dubois County Contractual Public Library will be hosting a summer food program for those who need the boost.

The Tri-State Food Bank and Jasper-Dubois County Contractual Public Library announced plans this past weekend to participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Free snacks will be made available to all children 18 years of age and under and to persons over 18 years who are enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled starting May 30th. Free snacks will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

Summer snacks will be served on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00 – 4:00 PM and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Birdseye Branch Library, 100 S SR 145, Birdseye, IN.
Summer snacks will be served on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00 – 4:00 PM and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Jasper Public Library Annex, 1103 Main St., Jasper, IN.
