In the Early hours of this morning Jasper police responded to a call that involved confinement and a hand gun.

Just before 2 am this morning Jasper Police responded to a scene after receiving a 911 call were a woman could be heard crying and a male could be heard yelling in the background.

Officers arrived at 1305 Mill Street and upon investigation found that 27 year old Isadore Brown had shoved a female resident and refused her access to her phone to contact police. Eventually the female was able to obtain possession of the phone and dial 911.

During the subsequent investigation police also found that Brown was a felon and had a handgun in the residence. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Dubois County Security Center.

Brown is being charged with multiple felony charges that include criminal confinement, domestic battery, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and intimidation along  with 2 misdemeanor charges of interfering with the reporting of a crime and possession of a firearm by a domestic batterer.
