The Ferdinand Folk Festival is an earth-friendly and family friendly event promoting music, the arts, and the environment.

The 8th annual Folk Fest set for this Saturday is located in Ferdinand’s 18th Street Park, and is free of charge. It features nationally acclaimed musicians as well as exceptional local and regional acts.

On lawn chairs and blankets covering the park’s beautiful sloping lawn, you will experience a rich variety of acoustic music on an exciting new main stage, and between the main acts, from the intimacy of shade trees and the round market stage, guests can continue to hear outstanding area performers.

In nearby booths, local artists and artisans display and sell their work, groups dedicated to creating a sustainable environment and vibrant communities provide educational materials, and numerous food vendors offer many delicious and healthy options.

Children have a full afternoon of fun activities promoting music, art, theater, exercise, and environmental awareness. Workshops, yoga sessions, a drum circle, demonstrations, music jam sessions, tent talks, and discussions are also offered for adults.

Once again the Festival will be held this Saturday September 16 at Ferdinand’s 18th Street Park.
