Bernadine (Bernie) Persohn, age 93 of Jasper, passed away at 11:35 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017, in the Northwood Retirement Center in Jasper.

She was born on December 2, 1924, at Owensboro, Kentucky to Albert Kaelin Sr. and Veronica Krampe. She married Aloysius J. Persohn on June 1, 1946. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1994.

She retired from Northwood Retirement Center in Jasper and had worked for Jasper Table Company and JOFCO as well did volunteer work at St. Vincent’s DePaul Society.

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – Schellville Campus.

Life member VFW Auxiliary Post 673 and member of the Petersburg Moose Lodge.

She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also playing cards.

Three great grandchildren, Jordan, Anna Lee and Garrett Vinson.
Sister, Ann (Stan) Schnell, Jasper, IN Brothers, Anthony and Paul Kaelin both of Owensboro, KY.
Preceding her in death besides her husband; Son-in-law David Vinson, Sisters, Catherine Kaelin died in infancy, Mary Agnes McMillen
Brothers, Albert (A.J.), and Edward Kaelin.

Mass of Christian Burial for Bernadine Persohn will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in Sacred Catholic Church in Schellville with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper
