Frank A. Kimmel, age 61, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:50 p.m., on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born October 23, 1956, in Evansville, Indiana to Vernon and Freida Gloria (Phelps) Kimmel; and married Judith A. Trusty on August 26, 1979, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. Frank was employed at Styline Corporation and retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions where he worked for 32 years. He was a member of the Jasper American Legion and Foster’s Ridge Christian Church in Uniontown. Frank served in the Army National Guard for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jake Kimmel; and one sister, Becky Kimmel.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A. Kimmel of Huntingburg; one daughter, Rachel Kimmel of Huntingburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew (Kelsie) Kimmel of Washington; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Gerald “Jerry”) Boehman of Jasper; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, George (Dorothy) Kimmel of Cuzco and David (Joyce) Kimmel of Holland; and three grandchildren, Aiden Stahl of Huntingburg, Kayl Kimmel of Washington and Callan Underwood of Washington.
Funeral services for Frank A. Kimmel will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Pastor Brian Martin will officiate at the service. The Jasper American Legion Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside services.
