Juanita D. Hagemeyer, age 85, of Stendal, passed away at 3:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born November 13, 1932, in Stendal, Indiana to Benjamin and Mary (Egbert) Butke; and married Maurice Hagemeyer on November 5, 1954, in Stendal.  Juanita was a homemaker, teacher and postal worker; and member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and the Southern Bells Homemakers Club.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Austin Butke; and sister, Dorothy Cannon.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Maurice Hagemeyer of Stendal; three children, Gwenn (Edward) Laughlin of Holland, Jeff (Debbie) Hagemeyer of Ferdinand, and Jennifer (Dr. John) Myers of Evansville; two brothers, Reuben Butke of Stendal and Gerald Cannon of Centerville, Ohio; by (9) grandchildren and (13) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Juanita Hagemeyer will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Monday, February 26, 2018, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Stendal with burial to follow at St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Pastor Ed Wicks will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 25th; and also at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Monday, prior to the funeral.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
