Michael Glassner, chief operating officer for Donald J. Trump for President Inc., said Wednesday the president is expected to discuss the economy, his immigration and trade policies, and his proposal to increase the authority given to states to decide how and how much to regulate existing coal-fired power plants.

Glassner says Trump also will support Jasper businessman Mike Braun in the republican’s race against incumbent Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly.

Trump’s last visit to Indiana came in May when he went to Elkhart and praised Braun two days after the divisive Republican Senate primary.

President Barack Obama was the last sitting President to visit the area when he stopped at a Gibson County company that supplies material to Toyota.

President Trump campaigned for president in Evansville in 2016.

In April of that year, the then-presidential candidate drew over 12,000 people to the Old National Events Plaza for a rally featuring former Indiana University basketball coach Bob Knight.
