A Martin County woman received minor injuries in a one vehicle accident Thursday evening in northern Dubois County.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says at around a quarter till 7 last night, an SUV driven by 24-year old Morgan Combs of Loogootee was traveling southbound on US 231 just south of County Road 600 North when she told deputies her shoe laces got caught in one of the vehicle’s pedals and when she attempted to wiggle her foot loose, she must have jerked the steering wheel and her vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway.

Deputies say Morgan’s sports utility vehicle came to rest off the west side of the roadway and down into a ditch.

Morgan complained of head, neck, and back pain.
No charges were filed.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and First Responders with the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department.
