A Jasper woman was jailed on a variety of charges Wednesday morning after she allegedly struck three vehicles in the Jasper Walmart parking lot before leaving the scene.

Around 10:30 am yesterday, officers with the Jasper Police Department were called to Walmart in reference to a leaving the scene crash.

Police received a description of the suspect vehicle which was later located nearby at Baden Strasse and Newton Street.

An investigation found that 32-year old Navanna Sanchez of Jasper was in the Walmart parking lot and struck 3 separate vehicles, at 3 separate times while attempting to find a parking space.

Police also found that Sanchez had a suspended license and had no insurance on her vehicle. Sanchez was found to be impaired. She was taken to Memorial Hospital for a state lab test kit which indicated that she was operating the vehicle after consuming improper doses and combinations of her prescribed medications.

She was medically cleared and was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on charges of OWI, OWI – Endangerment, Driving While Suspended with a Prior, Operating a Vehicle Without Financial Responsibility, and three counts of Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
