Coinciding with Giving Tuesday, DC Multisport presented checks benefiting several Dubois County organizations. Dubois County Community Foundation, Huntingburg Teen Outback, and Mentors for Youth all received proceeds from local sporting events.
The Dubois County Triathlon, Duathlon, and Team Relay held July 21, 2018, benefited Mentors for Youth and Huntingburg Teen Outback. $2,000 from the proceeds were donated to Mentors for Youth, an organization dedicated to facilitating mutually beneficial relationships between youth and adults for the purpose of enhancing individual lives and the community. Huntingburg Teen Outback received a $1,000 contribution in support of their Healthy Eating Active Living initiative focusing on children’s nutrition.
$1,665.11 was donated to the Dubois County Community Foundation, adding to the DC Multisport endowment. The endowment, which totals $21,595, was put in place to support youth programs.
The vision of DC Multisport is to build a vibrant, well-connected fitness community in Dubois County. DC Multisport is a welcoming, camaraderie-filled organization that fosters group training, race, education, and recreation opportunities among its members, while giving back to the local communities.
