John R. Mehringer, age 61 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 8:01 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

John was born on April 20, 1957 in Jasper, Indiana to Pete and Helen (Fest) Mehringer.

He worked in construction and carpentry most of his life.

He enjoyed working outside, gardening, and watching the sunset.

Surviving are three daughters, Tammy Barkley (Al), Huntingburg, Amber Skinner(Bryce), Logan, UT, and April Clark (Gene), Holland, one son, Shawn Mehringer, Huntingburg, ten grandchildren,  four sisters, two brothers, George Mehringer (Clara) and Ed Mehringer (Karen), Jasper, Lillian Thimling (Robert) Jasper, Lou Wells (Gary) Jasper, Helen Holtkamp (Vincent), Luray, Missouri, Frances Hartford (Dan) Lyle, Washington.

Preceding him in death was his companion Sharon Lawson,  his parents,  one brother, Roman Mehringer, and two siblings who died in infancy.

Private services were held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper.
