      Jack Dean Davis, age 79, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 8:34 a.m., on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at his residence.

                He was born October 5, 1939, in New Castle, Indiana, to Julius and Marjorie (Snodgrass) Davis; and married Nancy S. Maas on July 13, 1968, at the Huntingburg E.U.B. Church.  Jack was a former sales representative for Styline Furniture and Best Chairs; was a coach and teacher; and served in the United States Army.  He was a supporter of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Museum in New Castle; and a member of the Florida State University Alumni Association, Seminole Boosters, Coaches Club and Varsity Club.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

                Jack is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy S. Davis of Huntingburg, Ind.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Courtney (John) Schwartz of Huntingburg, Ind. and Leah (Ryan) Seidl of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Phil Davis of Hagerstown, Ind. and Ron Davis of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and five grandchildren, Gracie Seidl, Jackson Seidl, Lucy Schwartz, Molly Schwartz and Davis Schwartz.

                A Celebration of Life Service for Jack Davis will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.  Rev. Mark McDaniel and Rev. Mike Thompson will officiate at the service.
