Patricia Ann “Pat” Meyer, 88 of Jasper, formerly of Ferdinand passed away Thursday September 12th at Brookside Village in Jasper. Pat was born October 24, 1930 in Ferdinand to Edward & Loretta (Barth) Seufert. She was united in marriage to Charles Meyer on September 27, 1957 in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church. Charles preceded her in death on May 3, 2004.

Pat was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church. She was an avid Forest Park Sports fan, St. Louis Cardinals, and Purdue Boilermakers. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years. Pat graduated from St. Joe’s nursing school in 1951. She worked in Memorial Hospital, and for Doctors Ploetner, Beaven & Kemker. Pat enjoyed sewing, dancing, music. And was a dear friend to the Sisters of St. Benedict.

Surviving are one daughter, Jackie (Scott) Kempf of St. Anthony, two sons, Stephen G. Meyer of Ferdinand and Duane T. Meyer of Portersville. Five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one sister Vita Bartley of Ferdinand. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Loretta Seufert and a brother, John Seufert.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday September 18th in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial in St. Ferdinand Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call for visitation from 2 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 7 to 9:30 AM on Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
