Spencer, Martin, and Orange Counties are no longer under a burn ban.

This means that several Southern Indiana counties are no longer under a burn ban due to the recent rainfall.

Local Fire Chiefs lifted the ban for Spencer, Orange, Martin, Lawrence, Washington, Crawford, Warrick, Pike, and Daviess Counties.

A Burn Ban is still in effect for Dubois County

Dubois County officials made an amendment to their burn ban. This amendment allows: Campfires and recreational fires that are continuously accompanied in an enclosed fire ring with dimensions of 23 inches X 10 inches high or higher.

However, any kind of open burning using conventional like wood or other combustible matter, except for grills fueled by charcoal briquettes or propane, burning debris, and bonfires are still prohibited.
