Helen Jean Dearborn, 87, formally of English, IN passed away at her home in on Sunday, October 31, 2021.
She was born to the late Joe Van Meter and Cleavy Van Meter on December 24, 1933 in Marengo, IN.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Gilbert Dearborn who she was married to for more than 50 years. Her sisters Irene Van Meter and Patsy Wright also preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by her children, Maximina (Elmer) Shelton, Terry Dearborn and Rita (Tim) Richards. 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Helen is also survived by her siblings Jane Bartlett, Otto Van Meter and Russel Van Meter.
Helen enjoyed watching the hummingbirds around her house and working in her garden. She also took pleasure in planting flowers around her home. Helen was known for vanilla ice cream and making home made lemon tea.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, November 4 at Dillman-Green Funeral at 1 PM. Visitation starting at 10 Am until the time of service at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, IN.
Burial to follow in the Tucker-Cook Cemetery.
