He was born on March 30, 1934 to Samuel Conrad and Anna (McKim) Conrad in St. Croix, IN.
Doc was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes and corn hole playing. Doc loved and was very proud of his garden. He was a long-time former member active member of the Donica Church of God and an active member of the Sulphur Pentecostal Church and a member of The Gideon’s Association. Doc was the former owner of C&L Auto Parts, and Co- owner of Lutz’s Nursery. He drove a school bus and was a member of the Sulphur Volunteer Fire Department. Doc was very proud that he was able to help build and maintain Sycamore Springs Park.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Virginia (Ford) Conrad, siblings; Curt Conrad, Ted Conrad, Sam Conrad Jr., Anna Marie Lively, Naomi Sturgeon Cooper, Jim Conrad and Evelyn Chappell.
Doc is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice (Lutz) Conrad, his children; Herbert (Chris) Conrad, Paul (Beth) Conrad, Leota Anne (Toby) Smith, Lloyd (Rita) Conrad, Joan (Brian) Looper, Ashley (Aaron) Gonzalez, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and his siblings Rosie Ridenour and Viola Wright.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at Sulphur Pentecostal Church in Sulphur, IN.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN and from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at the church.
Officiating the funeral service will be Bro. Chad Stroud with burial to follow at Jericho Cemetery in Taswell, IN.
