Rodney Allen Choate, age 53, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away at 2:02 a.m., on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born July 7, 1968, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Allen and Marie (Wright) Choate.  Rodney worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Roger KniesTrucking and Seger’sSimple Trucking.  He was preceded in death by his mother; and one brother, Jeremy Choate.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather Choate of Birdseye; one son, Logan Choate of Birdseye; his father, Allen Choate of Birdseye; three sisters, Melissa (Adam) Rickenbaugh of Birdseye, Crystal (Brad) Guth of Santa Claus, and Amy (Eric) Wright of Birdseye; and by one grandchild, Brianna Choate.

A graveside service for Rodney Allen Choate will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye.  Pastor Albert Madden will officiate the service.  Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
