Frances C. Hopf, age 85 of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 5:15 am on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at home.

Frances was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on December 11, 1937, to Valentine and Delores (Hackman) Stetter.  She married Edwin O. Hopf on August 16, 1958, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  He preceded her in death on August 31, 2009.

She was a lifelong farmer.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland.

She enjoyed gardening, riding her 4-wheeler, and spending time with her dog and other animals.

Surviving is one daughter, Arlene Fleck (Phil), Huntingburg, two sons, Ron Hopf (Barbara), Jasper, and Norbert Hopf (Deepika), Country of India., seven grandchildren, Zach and Clay Hopf, Jai and Param Patni-Hopf, Jonah, Reece, and Brock Fleck, one great-granddaughter, Emelia Hopf, one sister, Mary Ann Stetter, Huntingburg, and three brothers, Raymond Stetter, Huntingburg, Charles Stetter, Huntingburg, and James Stetter (Mary Kay), Bretzville.  

Preceding her in death beside her husband were two sons, Bradley Hopf, and Brian Hopf who died in infancy, and one brother Robert Stetter.  

A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances C. Hopf will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.   

A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and one hour before services at the church from 9:00-10:00 am on Thursday.  

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, or to a favorite charity.
