Gregory A. Vollrath, age 53, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at home with his wife by his side.

Greg was born in Marietta, Georgia, on September 1, 1969, to Richard and Lawana (Sims) Higgins.  He married Jill Neighbors on October 10, 2015, at Victory Assembly of God in Jasper, Indiana.

He was a 1987 graduate of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia.  

He was a credit manager for Dixie Construction Products for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Victory Assembly of God in Jasper, Indiana.

Greg loved baseball and was a four-year letterman when he played in high school.  He was an avid baseball card collector and Atlanta Braves fan.  He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife Jill Vollrath, Jasper, IN, four children, Avery Vollrath, Kennesaw, GA, Peyton Vollrath, Evansville, IN, Ty Neighbors, Jasper, IN, Mya Neighbors, Jasper, IN, his father, Richard Vollrath, Hiram, GA, his mother, Lawana (Milton) Higgins, Marietta, GA, two brothers, Rodney (Bobbie) Vollrath, Marietta, GA, Denny (Terri) Vollrath, Powder Springs, GA, several step brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his stepmother, Marie Vollrath, and stepfather, Kim Smith.

A funeral service for Gregory Alan Vollrath will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in the Victory Assembly of God in Jasper, Indiana.  Pastor Joel Rivera will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. service time at the church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical expenses.
