Randy Allen Schaefer, 61, of Saint Meinrad passed away Monday, February 6th at his home. Randy was born on March 19, 1961, in Huntingburg to Alvin and Mary Ann (Wright Mehring) Schaefer.

Randy was employed as a forklift driver at Masterbrand Cabinets. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, grilling and camping, campfires, and playing UNO. He was an avid Indiana University basketball, Tennessee Titans football, and Cincinnati Reds fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are one daughter, Terra (James) Hobert of St. Meinrad, and one son, Joseph Schaefer of St. Meinrad. Three grandchildren, Marcus and Lucas Hobert, and Jayce Schaefer. Two sisters, Becky Winiger and Phyllis (Doug) Satterfield both of St. Meinrad. Three brothers, Danny (Pam) Schaefer and Scott (Linda) Schaefer both of St. Meinrad, and Kenny (Rhonda) Schaefer of Bristow. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin Schaefer Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM EDT Friday, February 10, 2023, at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, burial will follow in Saint Meinrad Church Cemetery.
