Twenty-eight local and regional golfers took to the greens at Oak Meadow Country Club last week for the annual President’s Golf Classic, hosted by Oakland City University President, Dr. Ron Dempsey. 

All good fun, in good sport, at the fundraiser, generated $70,000 to benefit new and returning OCU students through various scholarships. 

Players battled out 18 holes for their chance to claim the PGC championship. When vigorous play ended and the dust settled three teams tied for first place with a 57 – 15 under par. However, using the tie-breaking method of retrogression, The Drew Shockley Family team consisting of Drew and Jessica Shockley, Matt, and Erin Monroe was declared victorious.
