(Bedford, IN) The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced upcoming lane restrictions to U.S. 50, in Bedford, that will begin on or around Monday, July 17, 2023.

At that time crews will begin a resurfacing project on a roughly 3-mile stretch of U.S. 50, beginning at State Road 37. Periodic lane restrictions will occur and traffic shifts will be needed as the project progresses and makes its way through Bedford. The restrictions will allow crews to perform road resurfacing, sidewalk installation, and traffic signal modifications.

Weather permitting, the project is expected to last through the beginning of June 2024. More information about this project and others, as well as the latest road closures, conditions, and traffic alerts, can be accessed at any time on the TrafficWise app or by visiting INDOT’s social media pages.
