Albert V. Rasche, age 71, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 8:55 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Albert was born in Jasper, Indiana, on March 12, 1952, to Frances and Catherine (Kluemper) Rasche.  He married Virlee Hasenour on February 16, 1974, at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana.  She preceded him in death on December 16, 2014.

He was a bus and truck driver for several years.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, and the Jasper Outdoor Recreation, and a past member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Ireland Sportsman Club.

Albert enjoyed taking drives.

Surviving is his daughter, Donna (Joseph “Joe”) Mehringer, Jasper, IN, one sister, Betty (Dan) Johnson, five brothers, Elmer Rasche, Emil Rasche, Delmar (Donna) Rasche, Dave (Lynn) Rasche, Bernie (Amy) Rasche, all of Jasper, IN, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
 

Preceding him in death besides his wife is one sister-in-law, Joyce Rasche.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Cathedral Health Care for their kind and compassionate care for Albert.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert V. Rasche will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic in Ireland, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  

A visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and one hour before services from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
