Dennis E. Beck, age 75 of Velpen, Indiana, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

Dennis was born in Bangor, Maine on September 2, 1948 to Roman W. and Charlotte G (Mac Donald) Beck.   He married Patricia A. Mehringer on November 23, 1968, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, IN.

Dennis was a 1966 graduate of Jasper High School.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #147.

Dennis was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, IN.

He was a retired block maker and meat cutter.

He enjoyed fishing, making, and giving away bird houses, and spending time with friends and family, especially the grandchildren. 

Surviving is his wife; Patrica A. Beck of Velpen, two children; Marcie J. Seger (Robert), Newburgh, and Corey J. Beck (Rita), Bloomfield, IN, four grandchildren; Jacob Seger, Jocelyn Seger, Emma Beck and Ashlyn Richards, and one brother; William Beck (Louise), Jasper, IN.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and one brother; Leonard Beck.

Private services for Dennis E. Beck were held by the family.

The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice and their wonderful nurses, Amy, Danna, and Cindy for their care and empathy to us.

Memorial contributions may be made to a St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or a favorite charity.
