Gail Heichelbech, 65, of Ferdinand, passed away on Tuesday, September 11th at Community Hospital North Campus in Indianapolis. She was born on September 2, 1959, in Huntingburg to Gerald and Nancy (Small) Smith. On July 6, 1987, she married Rich Heichelbech in Owensboro. Gail was known for her outgoing personality and her love for being around friends and family. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sports teams.

Gail is survived by her husband, Rich Heichelbech of Ferdinand; three daughters, Nicole (Brad) Fischer and Dawn (Chris) Tretter, both of Ferdinand, and Tracy (Dean) Oser of Grandview; her parents, Gerald and Nancy Smith of Holland; two brothers, Ken (Marilyn) Smith and Eric (Staci) Smith, both of Holland; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16th at 1:00 PM ET at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, with visitation from 10:00 AM ET until the time of services.
