Johannah Lee Seng, 68, of Jasper Indiana, passed away on September 8, 2024, at her home.

She was born December 6, 1955, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to the late Allen E. and Nancy (Scott) Hilgeman. 

She married Joseph G. Seng July 13, 1985, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.

Johannah was a 1974 graduate of Southridge High School.  She was most recently employed by Memorial Hospital and was an LCM Award Nominee in 2010.  “Always calm and caring,” “Always doing her share and more,” “Has such a caring spirit about her,” truly personifies her character.  She was also a past member of the Tri Kappa Sorority and current member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, crosswords, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Johannah is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joe, two daughters, Audrey J. Meyer, Huntingburg, IN, and Sara M. (Bradley) Becker, Jasper, IN, two sons, Jeremy E. (Carrie) Meyer, Columbia City, IN, and Anthony J. (Jenna) Seng, Jasper, IN, seven grandchildren, Averie, Brenna, Barrett, Brooks, Britton, Harris, Wesley, plus one on the way.

She is also survived by one sister, Melissa Seifert (fiancé, David Breitwieser) Haysville, IN, one brother, Brett (Vica) Hilgeman, Denver, CO, her godchild, Nathan Seifert (Debra Scott), Holland, IN, one niece and two nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents is one sister, Karen Songer.

Private family services will be held.
