In an update to the story we shared last month, Dubois County residents are coming together to support the Rahman family as their two-year-old daughter, Bryar, battles a brain tumor. Bryar, the daughter of Chris and Amanda Rahman from St. Anthony has faced numerous challenges following the drainage of a brain mass. Despite beginning rehabilitation and preparing for chemotherapy, the family is experiencing both emotional and financial hardship.

To assist with the mounting costs of treatments and medical visits, a benefit event will be held on Sunday, October 13, from 1-4 PM EST at the St. Anthony Community Center. The event will feature a coffee bar hosted by Stay Brewed Coffee, which will donate 100% of its proceeds to the Rahman family. There will also be a bake sale offering Windmill Chil ice cream cups and a silent auction with items such as tattoo gift certificates, an Amazon tablet, a Bad Boy Gas Trimmer, and various gift baskets. Additionally, a bale sale will be held. All proceeds from these activities will directly benefit the Rahman family.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the GoFundMe campaign set up for Bryar has already raised over $13,000. This incredible support highlights how residents of Dubois County come together in times of need. Chris and Amanda, who have three other children at home and recently welcomed their fifth child, extend their sincere gratitude for the ongoing prayers and donations. For those wishing to contribute further, the GoFundMe page remains active: Help Support Bryar’s Fight.
