Richard Earl Scheller, 74, of Huntingburg, passed away at Scenic Hills at the Monastery on Sunday, October 20th. Richard was born October 14, 1950 in Evansville to Alvin and Mary Catherine (Martin) Scheller.  He married Catherine MarieWildeman on July 19, 1975 in St. Philips Catholic Church. Richard was a retired Dairy Farmer and Truck Driver. He was a member of The Young Dairymen’s Association, Knights of St. John’s at St. Wendel, Knights of Columbus at St. Anthony and Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church. He enjoyed fishing, Allis Chalmers tractors, and woodworking. Richard enjoyed making wooden toys for his grandkids.

Richard is survived by his wife Catherine Marie; son, Michael (Catherine) Scheller of Pickerington, OH.; two daughters, Elizabeth (Tim) Gunselman of Ferdinand and Rose (Christopher) Klem of St. Meinrad; six grandchildren, Alexander and Gabriel Scheller, Joseph and Matthew Gunselman, Cameron and Ava Klem; three brothers, Ralph (Irmtraud) Scheller, Clarence (Nancy) Scheller and Paul (Becky) Scheller all of Haubstadt. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary Catherine Scheller and his step-mother, Alice Ruth Scheller.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 24thin St. Ferdinand Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday morning at the church from 9 AM until time of services. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com
