Gerald Francis Guy, 64, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence in Jasper, Friday, April, 25, 2025. Gerald was born January 15, 1961, to the late Katherine (Edelhuber) Guy and Charles Leopold Guy in Loogootee, Indiana.

Gerald was one of 15 children. Gerald was a graduate of Loogootee High School and a Veteran of The United States Air Force. He married Valerie Gregory at St. John’s Catholic Church, and the two lived in Okinawa, Japan before settling back in the states in Cannelburg, IN, and having a daughter Sarah Elizabeth (Kerr), six years later they moved into Washington, Indiana, where Gerald worked at Hoover Precision Products for approximately 15 years. In May of 1992, Valerie gave birth to a son Andrew Tyler Guy in May of 1992. Gerald was a loving devoted father, a loyal brother, and caring son. He loved to be outdoors; he loved camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking. Gerald went to work for Kimball Artec for many years after moving to Jasper with his son Andrew. Upon his retirement he was constantly working outdoors, and always would be a helping hand, whether it was to a neighbor, a stranger, or family. He was always up for a challenge and he was determined to see projects through to the end.  Gerald was predeceased by his father, mother, sister, Michelle Merrill, brother, Steve Guy, and an infant brother, Joseph. He is survived by 11 siblings, Mary Louise (Jeffrey Jones) Guy of Bloomington, Tim Guy of Loogootee, Martha (Paul) Butler of Houston, Charles K. (Debbie) Guy of Loogootee, Margaret (Stephen Sr.) Elkins of Flat Rock, North Carolina, Michael (Mary) Guy of Loogootee, Patrick (Hysue) Guy of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mark Guy of Jasper, Elizabeth Guy of Holland, Christopher (Julie) Guy of Chandler, Arizona, John (Lucita) Guy of Bloomington, a daughter, Sarah Kerr (John) as well as a son Andrew Guy, of Jasper; two grandchildren Olivia, of Jasper, and MKenna Gregory, Loogootee, and John Kerr III, son-in-law, Jasper, IN

Per his wishes Gerald did not want any services, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
