Scott A. Hostetter, age 63, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 6:54 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at home.

Scott was born in Jasper, Indiana, on August 28, 1961, to Eugene and Florence (Brinkman) Hostetter.

He was a 1980 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School.

For most of his life, Scott was a Perdue Turkey Producer and managed the Hostetter Farm.  Most recently, he was a truck driver for Myers Transportation Services.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.

Scott was a dog whisperer and loved spending time with his dogs.  He was also a car enthusiast and car collector.

Surviving are two daughters, Nicole (Nicholas) Finch, Anderson, SC, and Haley Hostetter (Aaron McClelland) Charleston, SC, one granddaughter, Wrenley Finch,  his dad, Gene Hostetter, Jasper, IN, five sisters, Cheryl Schaber, French Lick, IN, Jane (Joe) Katter, Kelly Huebner (Bart Kerstiens), Stacy Welp and Jill (Zach) McCune, all of Jasper, IN, three brothers, Clarence (Julie) Keller, St. Joe, IN, Gary (Lisa) Hostetter and Nick (Angie) Hostetter, both of Jasper, IN, several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Florence Hostetter, and one niece, Merris McCune.

A funeral Mass for Scott A. Hostetter will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.  There will be no burial at this time.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass time at the church on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dubois County Humane Society or to a favorite charity.
