 Albert Herman Sickbert, age 90, of Holland, IN, passed away on Friday, August      22, 2025 at Heart-to-Heart Hospice House in Evansville.  He was born in Warrick County, along with his twin brother, Alfred, on January      24, 1935 to Edward and Lydia (Hanebutt) Sickbert.  He married Sondra Borman on July 2, 1960 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland.  He was a United States Army veteran. Albert was a member of St. Paul UCC.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sondra Sickbert on August 25, 2023; his twin, Alfred, at age ten months; a son, Gary Sickbert; and a sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Allen Donnerman.

     Albert was a lifelong farmer with a deep commitment to agriculture and had exceptional skills in farming.  He used his skills at the Henke farms for generations and considered the Henke family as his own.   He also was a master as a mechanic.  When he put his engineering mind and his skilled hands to work on any type of engine, it would run with superior performance.  In his younger years, Albert used these skills on the cars that he drag raced.

     He is survived by his son, Jerry Sickbert of Santa Claus; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Zach) Fowler of Santa Claus, Natalie (Brandon) Bunch of Bedford, Andy (Lydia) Sickbert of Santa Claus; and one great-grandchild, James Sickbert.

   Funeral services for Albert Sickbert will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., EDT, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland with burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery.  Pastor Debbie Roe will conduct the funeral services.  Holland American Legion Post # 343 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.   

Visitation will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Tuesday, August 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EDT, and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
