Mary Lou (Nonte) Montgomery, age 98, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Isanti, Minnesota.
She was born on August 19, 1927 in Dubois County, Indiana to Raymond and Leona (Kalb) Nonte. She married Robert N. Montgomery on June 18, 1949, at Holy Trinity Church in St. Matthew, Ky. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2005.
Mary was a homemaker. She raised four children. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, square dancing, and shelling on Florida beaches.
She was a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Clarksville, Indiana.
Mary is survived by her four children: Stephen (Linda) Montgomery, Margaret (Stephen) Gallay, Rae (James) Montgomery, Bruce (Chris) Montgomery, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters, Geraldine Weikert of Dubois, IN and Betty Peyron of Clarksville IN and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 56 years, Robert Montgomery.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Lou Montgomery will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois, Indiana.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Parish or a favorite charity.
