William R. Beck, age 80, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family at 2:08 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper.

Bill was born in Bangor, Maine on August 20, 1945, to Roman W. and Charlotte G. (McDonald) Beck. He married Louise M. Bolte on May 14, 1966, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand, Indiana.

He served in the United States National Guard and the 40 and 8. He was a lifelong member and director of Jasper Outdoor Recreation, and St. Jospeh Catholic Church.

He retired as a meat cutter for Holiday Foods.

Bill was an avid card player. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Beck, Jasper; two daughters: Melinda (Mike) Weidenbenner, Ireland; Heidi (Brad) Newland, Dubois; seven grandchildren: Ryker and Holden (Sara) Weidenbenner, Cody (Madolyn) Newland, Reece, Kelci, and Gabe Newland.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Leonard Beck and Dennis Beck, and one grandson who died in infancy, Zane Weidenbenner.

Private services will be held at a later date.
