89-year-old Anna M. Betz, of Saint Anthony, passed away at 5:14 p.m. Thursday, July 4,  in Brookside Village Healthcare Center in Jasper. 
 
She was born on November 18, 1929 at Saint Anthony, Indiana to Anthony and Katie (Hasenour) Klem.  She married Albert G. Betz on May 4, 1950 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.  He preceded her in death on November 6, 2007.
 
Anna was a homemaker and member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church.
She was active in her church and St. Anthony Fire Department especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and quilting for the church.
Surviving are: One daughter, Martha Bohnert (Louis), St, Anthony, IN, Two sons,, Dave Betz (Donna), St. Anthony, Indiana, Stan Betz (Linda), Jasper, IN, Six grandchildren, Adam & Luke Wehr, Shawn Betz, Megan Pund, Jenna Hagen and Ryan Betz.  Nine great grandchildren; Ryder Wehr, Mya & Cooper Wehr, Koen Betz, Lexi and Aria Pund, Aubrey and Kamden Hagen and Huck Betz. Two sisters, Loretta Humbert, Celestine, IN and Clarissa Gehlhausen, Jasper, IN.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are son-in-law Ernie Wehr. Three sisters, Leona Jahn, Frances Klem and Ardella Humbert also three brothers, Andrew, Edward and Alois Klem.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 8,  in St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services on Monday at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or to the St. Anthony Fire Department.
