Marsha Jane (Wagner) Steckler, 54, of St. Henry, passed away, Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Marsha was born December 16, 1960 to Robert J. and Georgene (Jeannie) Hochgesang Wagner in Jasper. She married Jerome “Jerry” Steckler on May 3, 1980 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. Marsha enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, reading, playing board games and especially spending time with her eleven grandchildren. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers. Marsha taught religious education at St. Henry Parish for many years.

marsha steckler0001Marsha is survived by her husband Jerry Steckler of St. Henry; six daughters, Charmain Klem and husband Barry of Bretzville, Shelly Hedinger and husband Dwayne of Mariah Hill, Rachael Waninger and husband Brent of Ferdinand, Jill Sermersheim and husband Luke of Huntingburg, Lindsey Hoffman and husband Phil of Dale, Lezlie Steckler at home; one son, Isaac Steckler at home; her mother, Georgene (Jeannie) Wagner of Ireland; eight brothers, Steve and wife Vicky Wagner of Huntingburg, Terry Wagner and wife Brenda, Rennie Wagner and wife Pam all of Jasper, Tom Wagner and wife Mary, Ronnie Wagner and wife Sarah, Sam Wagner and wife Susan and Don Wagner all of Ireland; Rob Wagner and wife Christy of Zionsville; two sisters, Joan Wagner of Ireland and Cheryl Fromme and husband Dan of Portersville; one brother-in-law, Earl Delp of Ft. Meyers FL; eleven grandchildren also survive. Marsha was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Steckler; her father, Robert Wagner; a sister, Ruth Wagner and a brother Randy Wagner.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Henry Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. All visitation will be at St. Henry Catholic Church on Sunday from 2-8:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time.
