Ethel Mae Raney, age 70 of Jasper, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, (August 30, 2016), in Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

Raney, Ethel MaeShe was born in Boone Township to Elmer and Myrtle (Schnarr) Haycox. She married Roy Gene Raney on July 1, 1967 at the Alfordsville Methodist Church.

She was a graduate of Ireland High School and Indiana Business College at Vincennes, Indiana.

Ethel Mae retired from Crane Naval Weapons Systems where she had worked for many years.

Membership: Alfordsville Christian Church.

Surviving, Husband Roy Gene Raney.
One son, Jeff Raney and wife Elizabeth, Alfordsville, IN
Two grandsons, Nicholas, and Zachary.

Hazel Whitney and husband Ish, Mooresville, IN
Two brothers,
George William Haycox, Jasper, IN
Jim Haycox, Speedway, IN

Preceded by one sister Marie Kamplain.

Funeral services for Ethel Mae Raney will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (September 2, 2016), at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel with burial to follow in the Portersville Cemetery. The Rev. Marvin Arvin and the Rev. Alfred Helms will officiate.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, (September 1, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to a favorite charity.
