Grace Irene Hazelton, age 81, of Petersburg, Indiana passed away at 1:18 p.m., on Monday, August 29, 2016, at the Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.

She was born August 17, 1935, in Petersburg, Indiana to Raymond and Ethel (Gilliland) Henson. Grace worked as a nursing center caregiver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hazelton, who died in 1977; one son, Bill Hazelton; one daughter, Beverly Sims; three brothers, Joe Henson, Danny Henson and Donny Henson; two sisters, Hazel Wheatley and Lucy Turnbloom; and one grandson, Robert “Bobby” Sims.

She is survived by:

Her son and daughter-in-law,
Larry (Judith) Hazelton of Tyler, Texas;
Her longtime companion of over thirty years,
Gary White of Petersburg, Ind.;
One brother,
Gary Henson of Petersburg, Ind.;
One sister,
Marilyn Poole of Petersburg, Ind.;
by (3) grandchildren,
David Sims of Petersburg, Ind.,
Amy Hazelton of Tyler, Texas,
Brian Hazelton of Tyler, Texas;
(6) great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Grace Hazelton will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana. Reverend Gregory Joe Henson will officiate at the service.
