Mary Elizabeth Lagenour, age 73, of Huntingburg, Indiana passed away at 2:50 a.m., on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

mary-lagenour750She was born December 5, 1942, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Elmer and Emily (Sattler) Ermert. She was united in marriage to Vernon E. Lagenour on July 3, 1959. Mary worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana. Because of her husband’s job, she and her family lived in Chesterton, Indiana for 20 years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon E. Lagenour, who died July 12, 1999; and one brother, Donald Ermert.

She is survived by:

One daughter,
Andrea Lemond of Jasper, IN;
Three sons,
Everett Lagenour of Huntingburg, IN,
Douglas Lagenour of Hayfork, California,
Gregory Lagenour of Chesterton, IN;
Two brothers,
Gerald Ermert of Chesterton, IN,
Edward Ermert of Fenton, Missouri;
by (5) grandchildren and (4) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Lagenour will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff, Indiana. Pastor Josh Brown will officiate at the service.
