Marylin Joan Ambrose

Marylin Joan Ambrose, age 87, of Selvin, IN, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, at her home.

She was born September 1, 1929, in Folsomville, Indiana to Parley Jennings and Girthie Jeanette (Evans) Bruce. Marylin had worked at the Stork Hospital but later, a homemaker and very active in her community serving on many committees. She was instrumental in fund raising for the revitalization project for Selvin Community Center. She was a member of the Selvin Methodist Church and the 4-H Homemakers Club and enjoyed playing bingo, quilting, camping, and cooking. She was preceded in death by, her husband, Leo W. Ambrose, who passed away January 28, 2009; two sons, Greg Ambrose in 1970 and Michael Bruce in 1999; a brother, Roger Bruce.

She is survived by:

Isaac, Kiley, Isaiah, Autumn, Whyatt (correct spelling) and Hadley.

Funeral services for Marylin Ambrose will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., (10:00 a.m. C.D.T.) Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, Indiana. Pastor Karen Sureck will officiate the service.
