Marylin Joan Ambrose, age 87, of Selvin, IN, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, at her home.

marylin-ambrose-obit-picture747She was born September 1, 1929, in Folsomville, Indiana to Parley Jennings and Girthie Jeanette (Evans) Bruce. Marylin had worked at the Stork Hospital but later, a homemaker and very active in her community serving on many committees. She was instrumental in fund raising for the revitalization project for Selvin Community Center. She was a member of the Selvin Methodist Church and the 4-H Homemakers Club and enjoyed playing bingo, quilting, camping, and cooking. She was preceded in death by, her husband, Leo W. Ambrose, who passed away January 28, 2009; two sons, Greg Ambrose in 1970 and Michael Bruce in 1999; a brother, Roger Bruce.

She is survived by:

6 great grandchildren
Isaac, Kiley, Isaiah, Autumn, Whyatt (correct spelling) and Hadley.

Funeral services for Marylin Ambrose will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., (10:00 a.m. C.D.T.) Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, Indiana. Pastor Karen Sureck will officiate the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m.E.D.T, (2:00 – 7:00 C.D.T.) September 6th, 2016. Memorial contributions can be made to the Selvin Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
